Grade 7

Mr. Tomas Gallegos

Mr. Gallegos was born in Denver, Colorado, and much of his family currently resides there.  He attended Blessed Sacrament, a Catholic parochial school for his K-8 education, and then continued on to Regis Jesuit High School.  In high school he was a two-sport varsity athlete, National Honor Society member, and president of the diversity council.  He received his Bachelor of the Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he double majored in pre-med and English, and minored in Italian.  Mr. Gallegos is presently pursuing his Masters in Education, also from the University of Notre Dame, and is looking forward to completing that degree in the summer of 2013.   At a future date, he is intending to continue on to medical school, and eventually become a pediatrician.

Aside from his academic endeavors, Mr. Gallegos is very passionate about traveling and spending time with his family.  In 2009 he backpacked through 13 countries in Europe, he has played in soccer tournaments in Guatemala and Italy, and has also played rugby in Canada.  He has worked at the United States Embassy in Mexico City, a homeless shelter in South Bend, Indiana, and even the Denver Zoo in his beloved hometown.

On a more personal note, Mr. Gallegos would like to thank the entire community and staff at St. Michael’s for such a warm welcome into their school, and by extension, their lives.  He is excited to share his passion for learning and reading with your children, and feels very blessed for the privilege to educate your sons and daughters.
